i am like a kid in a candy store when i walk into any target store. there’s just so much great stuff to look at. i’m not particularly fond of the clothes or shoes from there but the little kitchen tools and makeup and food items and such always entertain me.
the other night after dinner i walked around a target superstore for a bit so i didn’t just go home and succumb to food coma on my couch. i love the kitchenware section because there’s always cute and colorful versions of your everyday tools. like this little yellow cheese grater that looks like a mouse or this potato peeler that looks like a bird. do you really need those? not really. but do you buy it just because it’s so cute? probably. now, i’m the kind of person who won’t eat fruits unless they’re cut into tiny little pieces so my favorite little gadget on this particular target escapade was this grapefruit sectioner. it’s just $9.99 in the store (i’m not sure why i can’t find it on the target website) and i think it would be so useful for any citrus fruits. i know there’s other grapefruit cutters out there but i just don’t think they’re as fun to use. anyway, it’s pretty small and light so you can hold half the fruit in one hand and this little tool in the other with ease. it works well with oranges and tangerines too. i think i might even try to use it on larger fruits like a pomelo!
the thing that i love most about the grapefruit sectioner is the fact that when you squeeze it, there’s a clicking noise. i’m fairly easily amused…
