playing with money

over the last few months, i’ve been addicted to playing “the biggest loser” game on king.com. it’s one of the few online-only games i’ve played that requires people to sign up to play. i’m always wary of getting spammed when i sign up at similar sites, but i’m happy to report that it seems to be all clear. the game itself is kind of like bust-a-move, and you clear lines of junk food by shooting the pieces together. it’s strangely fun, you’ve got to try it.

anyway, after signing up at king.com, i realized that it was actually a gaming community where you could bet money on the games you play. the players who’ve put money into the site are elevated to “gold” status, and regular players will sometimes be put into a queue before games start when the site is getting a lot of traffic.

i never really considered betting money on the internet games i play before, but it’s starting to sound more and more interesting. maybe i could make some extra money to buy more games! 😉 i even know of someone who’s won quite a bit of money playing the same game i’ve spent hours playing for no reason. maybe it’s time to turn all those wasted hours into something slightly more rewarding.

do you play internet games for money?

i see no pores.

i can’t even begin to explain how many issues i have with my skin. it’s dry, it’s oily, it’s flaky, it’s pimply, it’s blotchy, it’s uneven, it’s everything! i’ve had major acne for the last couple of years and nothing has really helped. i’ve tried just about every acne product (prescription too) out there… nothing works. on top of that, things that should be drying make my skin oily and things that might make my skin oily will really dry me out. it confuses me and annoys me to no end. no one wants blemished skin! with all of my blemishes my pores have become so visible and i have some scarring. very not pretty. alright enough with my rant. onto the good stuff…

let me share with you the only thing that has worked for me. vichy laboratories is owned by l’oreal and considers itself a brand of dermo-cosmetics. they have a wide range of cleansers, toners, moisturizers, and makeup products designed to cater to any kind of skin problems you might have. it’s only sold in pharmacies and here in orange county, i’ve only found it at my local cvs. my favorite line is the normaderm line of products for acne because they contain zincadone A, glycolic acid, and salicylic acid. this complex helps to treat your pimples and purify and refine your pores. it claims to ‘help transform the skin within 4 weeks’ and it’s true! it’s particularly nice because you don’t need to use too much and you never feel greasy after. after a few seconds the creams set and your skin is left touchably (but please don’t touch your face throughout the day!) dry but never tight and flaky. plus, i really notice a difference in my pores in the mornings!

after cleansing and toning, my daily regimen includes using the normaderm anti-imperfection hydrating care in the mornings and the normaderm night chrono-action anti-imperfection hydrating care before bed. the night cream smells a bit immediately after applying but i usually don’t really notice it. nevertheless, at $17 and $20, respectively, vichy is really a line of products that is affordable and worth trying.
