i remember when i was younger, my grandma had a humidifier in her room and i’d always put my face right above it and get my eyebrows all misty. fond memories 🙂
anyway, i recently moved to a place where the air is much dryer than i’m used to, and i find that the skin on my face really dries out at night and my nose is always very uncomfortable when i wake up. i was in dire need of a humidifier! these crane humidifiers are the best ones i’ve found, and they come in all sorts of cute shapes. there’s your usual cute animals, like cows and pigs and frogs, but there’s also spongebob squarepants, hello kitty, and thomas the tank designs. target sells a huge variety of them. they’re all easy to fill, clean, and use, and they’re also pretty quiet. i now have 3 in different rooms at home!
tip: fill your humidifier with distilled water; it keeps the inner machinery cleaner. even so, don’t forget to clean the inside about once a week with bleach. you’ll be surprised how much dust can sneak in through the little cracks.
