southern california has had some pretty crazy weather lately… it’s so cold and my hands and feet are always freezing. and even tho it’s freezing and my feet are usually tucked away in warm shoes, i’m still pretty religious about having a nice manicure and pedicure. at least i try. well the ever creative and inventive japanese have come up with a solution for pretty hands and feet that serve a purpose. warmer nails! japanese girls really obsessed with fancy nails so i’m actually not too surprised that they came up with something like this. this nail polish contains capsaicin and tourmaline essence that have warming properties for improved circulation. (capsaicin comes from chili peppers and causes a burning sensation while stimulating blood flow). i don’t know how right i am but i have a feeling that the combination of ingredients may play a role in the fact that there is only one color to choose from. luckily it’s a nice natural color with a bit of shimmer.
i’m sure this nail polish is somehow radioactive and will give you cancer but it’s a pretty interesting concept. it’s about $18 (1980yen) and can be found in japan (obviously) and in the u.s., in asian beauty supply shops.
