anyone who knows june and i knows that we’re very loyal sprint customers. many people complain about the reception and the limited phone selection but we still stick with it. that’s why i was so excited back in november when the lg rumor was released. i had been shopping for a new phone for months and the $49.99 price (with a new 2-year contract) was so appealing especially given that the phone was cute and had everything i wanted and needed. i rushed to the sprint store the day the phone was out and picked up a white one for myself. june loved it so much she immediately got one for herself too! the phone does have its fair share of issues but neither of us have really experienced too many technical difficulties. i do have one complaint, though.
it seems that part of the uniform for asians is to have a fancy little phone personalized with more charms and trinkets than really necessary. well to our dismay, our cute new lg rumors lack the ability to let us hang anything on our phones. so until i figure out how to do that i’ll make do with personalizing my phone with a skin. different skins and cases and sleeves have been out for quite some time but never for anything sprint related. for under $20 you can find any type of skin you might like. from sports paraphernalia to flower patterns to classic art and even hannah montana and high school musical. the blue one above kind of looks like a western blot if you ask me. hello kitty isn’t offered but i’m considering a custom skin for my phone.
i’m really impressed that sprint is offering the skins for more than just their mobile devices. in addition to the usual ipod skins you might find, you can outfit your nintendo ds or even your digital camera as well.
