several years ago a friend introduced me to chocolate covered potato chips from neiman marcus. at $36 for a 10-ounce cannister, this is definitely a pricey indulgence. i’ve always craved this and i’ve always told people about it but i really can’t bring myself to buy it. enter pepperidge farm brussels cookies.
i always get pepperidge farm milano cookies when they’re on sale (2 for $5!) because they’re oh so very good. this past week when i stocked up, i decided to try the brussels as well. the fillings are the same as the milano (with less flavor options, only chocolate and mint but i pretty much only get mint milanos anyway) cookies but oh how different the cookies are. the package description for the brussels is “a celebration of contrasting textures. lace-thin, crisp cookies embrace a layer of smooth, luxurious, dark chocolate.” i love the crunchy-crispiness of the cookies and how creamy the filling is. the cookie is so buttery crisp and with the filling, it’s a dead ringer for the neiman marcus chocolate covered chips – at a much better price. even when these aren’t on sale, i manage to find them on sale at target or albertsons or ralphs every other week, at about $3.50 per package, these are definitely worth it.
i’ve come to the conclusion that you really can’t go wrong with pepperidge farm cookies. seriously. go buy some. eat it. increase your sugar levels to a ridiculous degree. okay bye.

oh ho ho! very entertaining post! i shall try me some cookies.
haha aline, it was actually lisa wang who introduced me to the neiman marcus chips. were you there with us when she bought it?
